Business by Grace 30k Challenge – Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the R30 000 Business Start‑Up Challenge, presented by the Mkhwanazi Foundation in partnership with Golden Emperors Lodge & Spa and TEA. By participating, you agree to the Terms & Conditions below.
- Eligibility
The competition is open to South African citizens or permanent residents aged 18 years or older. The following individuals may not enter: employees, contractors, or agents of the competition partners; immediate family of the above; and anyone professionally involved in judging or administering the competition.
- Competition Period
Opening Date: 01 December 2025. Closing Date: 06 February 2026. Entries submitted after the closing date will not be considered.
- How to Enter
Entrants must purchase a copy of Business By Grace from Exclusive Books or mkhwanazi.co.za; follow Golden Emperors, Kasi Entrepreneurship, and Zibusiso Mkhwanazi on Facebook and Instagram; post a short video pitching their business idea and sharing lessons learned from Business By Grace; use the hashtag #BBC30kChallenge; and ensure privacy settings allow the post to be publicly viewed.
- Prizes
Grand Prize: One entrant will receive R30,000 to support their business start‑up. Additional Prizes: The Top 10 entrants will each receive a spa voucher sponsored by Golden Emperors Lodge & Spa. Prizes are non-transferable.
- Judging Criteria
An independent panel of judges will review all valid entries based on originality, clarity, insights from Business By Grace, presentation quality, feasibility, and potential impact. The judges’ decision is final.
- Winner Notification
Winners will be contacted via direct message or email/phone. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, an alternate winner may be selected.
- Verification Requirements
Entrants may be required to provide proof of identity, age, citizenship or residency, proof of purchase of Business By Grace, and confirmation that the entry video is original.
- Grounds for Disqualification
Entries may be disqualified for false information, fraud, manipulation, offensive content, rule violations, or using content not owned by the entrant.
- Cancellation, Suspension & Amendments
The Mkhwanazi Foundation may cancel, suspend, amend, or terminate the competition due to insufficient entries; technical issues; fraudulent activity; legal or regulatory issues; force majeure events (including natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, civil unrest); or reputational, safety, or security risks.
- Liability
Entrants participate at their own risk. The organisers are not liable for loss, damage, injury, technical failures, inaccurate submissions, or business outcomes resulting from use of the prize.
- Privacy (POPIA Compliance)
Personal information will be processed in accordance with POPIA and used only for administering the competition, fulfilling prizes, and communication.
- Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
