Our Story

Founded by entrepreneur Zibusiso Mkhwanazi, the Foundation is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by nurturing entrepreneurship in South Africa’s townships from an early age.

Mission

To empower township youth with the tools, mentorship, and resources needed to become successful entrepreneurs.

Vision

A future where every young person in South Africa’s townships has the opportunity to thrive and lead.

Values

Faith, Integrity, Community, Empowerment, Excellence.

Our approach is unique:

  • We start early—investing in children at school-going age
  • We walk with them—through school, mentorship, developing discipline and resilience and higher education
  • We launch them—into business with tools gained, guidance from mentors, and community responsibility.

Chairman

Zibusiso Mkhwanazi

I started my first business at 17 with a borrowed computer and a dream — from selling sweets in Soweto to founding South Africa’s largest black-owned integrated marketing agency. By God’s grace, I’ve built companies, sat on boards, and earned global recognition — but success only matters if it serves others.

That’s why I started the Mkhwanazi Foundation — to raise entrepreneurs from the same townships I came from. We feed children, mentor with faith, support their studies, and walk with them until they’re ready to launch businesses of their own.

Business by Grace is my story, but it’s written to spark thousands more. Every book you buy funds real change — meals, mentorship, and momentum for the next generation of township-born leaders.

This is purpose in action. Let’s build a legacy together.
